About Judy C. Olsen
Judy C. Olsen has been writing and editing professionally for over twenty-five years. She is the author of numerous newspaper and magazine articles, shorts stories, as well as one non-fiction book and two published novels.
She worked as a magazine editor for the Ensign* magazine for several years. In this capacity she traveled across the USA on assignment, crafting many articles about people and places. She also traveled on assignment to South America to do in depth coverage of two countries: Argentina, and later on Bolivia.
As a magazine editor, she wrote or edited articles about marriage, families, coping with challenges in life, finances, biographical sketches, news items, short personal experiences from readers, household hints, overcoming difficulties, and inspirational experiences.
Before moving to Utah,she taught fiction-writing classes for several years through the Department of Continuing Education in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
A novel, Beyond the Horizon,** was published in January 2007 by Covenant Communications, Inc. An audio version (abridged) of the novel is also available on CD. In 2010 her non-fiction book, Angles Round About, True Stories of the Lord's Tender Mercies was published by Covenant. She is married to Donald L. Olsen, an electrical engineer, and the couple have four children and fifteen grandchildren.
